PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery and a battery pack suitable for miniaturization and weight reduction, and having high productivity. SOLUTION: This battery pack 1 is composed by housing the battery 2 in a housing comprising a plurality of cases 9 and 10. Fitting parts of the cases of the housing are coated and jointed with ultraviolet curing type resin sheets 19. This method is suitable for miniaturization and weight reduction because thicknesses of side faces of the cases of the battery pack can be reduced, and resin molded components used for the housing can simply be jointed so that productivity can be improved. Since the method hardly causes mechanical or thermal stress and an appearance defect, characteristics of the secondary battery are not impaired, and the yield of a production process can be increased.
