PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has superior mechanical strength and electrostatic characteristics and an electrophotographic image forming apparatus which includes it. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor which has on a conductive support a photosensitive layer having a layer containing a positive hole transfer substance consisting of at least a binding resin containing at least a macromolecular compound and a low molecular compound is characterized in that the macromolecular compound is a polyester resin having a biphenyl fluorene unit in specified structure in a main chain and the low molecular compound is a stilbene-based compound.
