PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulling-in detection device when opening a door of an elevator operating before a finger of a passenger approaching an opposing section of a sliding door and an entrance column is pulled into the opposing section. SOLUTION: A detector 23 is provided in a recessed part 17 of a relative displacement member 16, and a line of action of an action body 24 is arranged in the direction which is close to the center of entrance 14 width and approaches a sliding door 15 face. When a foreign matter such as passenger's finger approaches a clearance between the relative displacement member 16 and the sliding door 15 face when opening a door of the sliding door 15 abnormally, a covering plate 25 is elastically deformed by the foreign matter to press the action body 24 and operate the detector 23 in order to control door opening operation of the sliding door 15 when abnormality occurs. For this reason, the detector 23 operates before the foreign matter is pulled into the clearance 27 between the sliding door 15 face and the relative displacement member 16 to prevent the occurrence of trouble that the foreign matter is nipped in the clearance 27 in advance by controlling door opening operation of the sliding door 15 when abnormality occurs.
