PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightproof composition whose properties includes not only favorable cosmetic features, solvent solubility and shielding but also excellent light stability. SOLUTION: A siloxane or silane derivative represented by formula (1), (2) or (3) is used. In these formulae, A is a group represented by formula (I) or its transisomer; R1, R2and R3are each a hydrogen atom or the like; L is a group represented by formula (a), (a') or (a''), or the like; Z is a 1-6C alkenyl group or the like; Y is a hydrogen atom or the like; p is 0 or 1; R is a 1-20C alkyl group or the like; B is R or A; r is 0-50; s is 0-20; u is 1-6; t is 0-10 provided t+u is 3 or more; and R'1, R'2and R'3are each a 1-8C alkyl group or the like.
