<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carton, which makes it possible to put packaged articles directly and consecutively into a vending machine and the like, can house even heavy articles, and is easily opened. <P>SOLUTION: According to the carton, cut lines 27a, 27b are formed on flaps 20a, 20b, respectively, in such a way that each cut line starts from one edge at the top wall 50 side to be extended to the other edge on an end wall 13. On the flap 20a, a projected side demarcated with the cut line 27a is formed to be a cut board portion 26a. On the flap 20b, a projected side demarcated with the cut line 27b is formed to be a cut board portion 26b, part of which overlaps the cut board portion 26a. The outer surface of the end wall 13 is made in contact with the inner surface of the cut board portion 26a, whose outer surface is then glued to the inner surface of the cut board portion 20b to form a cut-away tab 28.
