<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for supporting the remote maintenance of a power converter, which can perform efficient maintenance work and can reduce the cost on the user side by improving the utilization factor of parts having lives and enabling the quick treatment at the occurrence of a failure. <P>SOLUTION: The operation state data of a power converter used by the user are given to the server 9 of a manufacturer via a network 8. The server 9 on the manufacturer side takes in the operation state data periodically and indicates them on a monitor 6-1 on the user side by the request from the user side, seeking for the maintenance contents data including the recommended exchange period of the parts constituting the power converter 2.
