The invention concerns an antenna for eliminating the need to search for a new location for very high hectometric wave antennae, comprising an existing vertical structure (1) having a height of some ten meters containing at least one electrically conductive element (3) connected to the ground (T), and an excitation conductor wire (4a) extending at least partly outside and along the structure and connected to a transmitter (E) so that the structure radiates substantially hectometric waves. The existing structure may be a broadcasting tower, a water tower, a chimney, a lighthouse or an illuminating mast, wherein the excitation wire merges visually. The wire can be replaced by a conductive loop a few meters long, magnetically coupled to the structure. |
