摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic type image forming apparatus and a processing cartridge which prevent magnetic particles from sticking and releasing on an image carrier to obtain stable image quality for a long period for an injection electrostatic charging system using magnetic particles as an electrostatic charging member. SOLUTION: A toner consists of at least colored resin particles, conductive particulates, and outer additives, which are inorganic particulates of≤500 nm in mean primary particle size which are processed with silicone oil, the liberation rate of the silicone oil of the outer additives being 30 to 85 %. The viscosity of the silicone oil, used to process the inorganic particulates, at 25°C is 50 to 1,000 cs. Toner particles contain 0.01 to 10 wt. % inorganic particulates. The weight mean particle size of the magnetic particles used for the electrostatic charging member 2 is 5 to 55μm, the content rate of particles of≤22μm is≤15 wt.%, and saturated magnetism is 30 to 200 emu/g.
