PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check the influence of the interference with other cells and avoid deteriorating the receiving quality over all bands. SOLUTION: An S/P converter 110 serial/parallel-converts modulated transmission data to output a plurality of series (6 series corresponding to the number of carriers, here) of data. IFFT units 120-1 to 120-3 are provided according to the number of groups of carriers (three groups, here) for inverse-fast-Fourier-transforming data transmitted with carriers (two carriers per group) in each group. A directivity allotter 130 is composed of multipliers 131-136 for determining the width of a directivity allotted to each carrier per group. Adders 140-1 to 140-3 add outputs of the multipliers 131-136 to generate transmission signals. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
