PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method, which can reduce the distortion of products after final heat treatment at a low cost without increasing stock removal for final finish machining, which requires a high machining cost, and without introducing a circular section continuous casting machine, and without carrying out the heat treatment for adding tension, in which the shapes of products are limited. SOLUTION: The continuous casting machine for steel has an electromagnetic agitating device within a mold. The distortion of the product after the final heat treatment is reduced by reducing negative segregation and variation of concentration in a skin part of the ingot by controlling the operating intensity of the electromagnetic agitating device.
