PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gap sealing member capable of easily sealing a gap along the side edge of the upper surface of stand-like equipment installed in a cooking room and being freely attached and detached. SOLUTION: The heights of the parallelly installed upper surface 2a of a cookstove 2 and the upper surface 4a of a counter 4 are almost the same and the gap S is opened between them. In order to seal the gap S, the gap sealing member 10 is mounted over the cookstove upper surface 2a and the counter upper surface 4a. The gap sealing member 10 is provided with a leg part 12 and a sealing piece 14. The leg part 12 is connected near the center of the width direction of the sealing piece 14 and thus the cross section shape of the gap sealing member 10 is T-shaped. The gap sealing member 10 is mounted by inserting the leg part 12 to the gap S from above and putting the sealing piece 14 over the side edge of the cookstove upper surface 2a and the side edge of the counter upper surface 4a.
