PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel equipped with a propeller-shaped brake, capable of increasing a flight distance of a lure, by preventing braking force from acting when unneeded. SOLUTION: Wind force acts on the break 5 and then deforms the brake 5, when a spool 3 rotates at a speed at which a backlash occurs, so that the braking force is generated for the first time. Therefore, the braking force is prevented from being generated when unneeded, so that increase in the flight distance of the lure is realized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
