PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact bag for housing a fish, housing the fish kept in a live state, readily moving a place during fishing and having excellent portability. SOLUTION: This bag for housing the fish comprises a bag part 1 composed of a freely flexible material, a rope 2 extending from the side of an opening of the bag part 1 and a float 3 arranged on the top surface 11. When fishing is carried out in a river, the rope 2 is connected to the waist, or the like., and the float 3 is inflated by forcing air thereinto. The bag is then floated in water for use by an angler. When the angler moves in the river, the bag is moved together with the angler while floating on the water surface in a stabilized state.
