PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat display device facilitating mounting workability without causing deformation in a grid when the flat display device is constituted by arranging the mesh-like grid between a back plate and a face plate. SOLUTION: This flat display device contains the face plate and the back plate faced at optional intervals and constituting a vacuum chamber; a luminescent means housed in the vacuum chamber and realizing an optional image; the mesh-like grid arranged between the back plate and the face plate inside the vacuum chamber; and a lower spacer joined to one side of the grid and supported with the back plate and a upper spacer faced to one side of the grid, joined to the other side of the grid and supported with the face plate, and the grid, the lower space, and the upper spacer are united to form one structure.
