<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidirectional input device having good operability, capable of detecting signals at a mobile terminal of an operating member. <P>SOLUTION: This multidirectional input device comprises the operating member 23 that can slide in the X-direction and the Y-direction, an X-direction detecting member 17 operated by the movement of the operating member 23 in the X-direction and a Y-direction detecting member 18 operated by the movement of the operating member 23 in the Y-direction, and end detecting members 21, 22 operated at the end of a moving range of the operating member 23 or at a position in the vicinity of the end. When the operating member 23 moves to the end or its vicinity of the moving range of the end, the end detecting members are operated, and thereby, signals can be detected at the position in the vicinity of the moving range of the operating member 23 and the detection can be used for various kinds of functions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
