PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive slide fastener good in appearance and quality which can be sewed on an article to be attached without generating sewing creases. SOLUTION: The fastener elements 3 are provided on the edge 12 of one side of the fastener tape 2, and the fastener tape 2 is to be stitched with a line of sewing thread 6 near the point 5 where the fastener elements 3 are provided. By pulling the thread 6, the edge 12 of the fastener tape 2 can be fixed curved inwardly in the longitudinal direction without generating any sewing creases. The fastener tape 2 can also be easily coated with a shield film 7 by deposition or coated with a flame retardant additive to allow the fastener tape 2 to include electromagnetic shielding property as well as flame retardancy.
