PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell culture apparatus, further improving the working property of a subculture. SOLUTION: This cell culture apparatus is equipped with a culturing means 15 housing at least one culturing container 1 of which inner environment can be adjustable, containing a medium inoculated with cells and performing the cell culture, a medium-exchanging means 9 for performing an exchange of the medium in the culturing apparatus 1, a cell state-measuring means 5 for measuring the state of the cells in the culturing apparatus 1, a cell-inoculation means 11 for inoculating the cells cultured by the culturing means 15 in the culturing apparatus 1 to another medium not inoculated with the cells, a conveying means for conveying the culturing apparatus 1 and a box body 17 housing the culturing means 15, medium-exchanging means 9, cell state-measuring means 5, cell-inoculating means 11 and conveying means 6, and formed as air tight. The box body 17 has at least one opening and closing parts 19a, 19b and the conveying means 6 is constituted for conveying the culturing container 1 at least between the opening and closing parts 19a, 19b and the cell-inoculating means 11.
