摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage compensating device which compensates a lowered or raised voltage at a high speed by switching connection of a regulating transformer and a series transformer by using a thyristor. SOLUTION: The voltage compensating device includes the regulating transformer connecting a primary winding in parallel with a power system for detecting a change of a system voltage, the series transformer connecting the primary winding in series with the power system to superpose a compensating voltage on the power system, a thyristor anti-parallel connection type semiconductor switch connected in series with a secondary winding of the regulating transformer, and a thyristor anti-parallel connection type semiconductor switch for bypassing an output of the semiconductor switch. The voltage compensating device also includes a voltage switching means connected in parallel with the secondary winding of the serial transformer, and a control means for controlling the semiconductor switch based on a voltage obtained from the regulating transformer.
