The invention relates to a method for producing aerated concrete on the basis of a mixture that comprises quartziferous sand and/or quartziferous stone dust, a quicklime-containing binder, water and a pore forming material and optionally cement and/or anhydrite. The invention is characterized in that the quicklime is substantially completely slaked with water before the pore forming material is added to the mixture, thereby making it possible for the pore formation to be carried out in a mixture that has a constant temperature and a constantly high consistency. The inventive method allows for easily reproducible aeration results and gives an aerated concrete with a very low dry bulk density and high compression strength. |
