The device is designed in the shape of a hose segment accommodating the lower leg or a double walled sheet to be wrapped around the affected area and comprises several chambers which can pressurized successively in order to create a massaging effect. The device can either be operated mechanically with a piston (4) acting (5) against the forces of a spring (2), electrically using a battery, or with a hyper-elastic membrane.
