<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently cool a drive unit and increase the thermal rated output of the drive unit. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling device comprises the drive unit, a load device, and a cooling unit that cools the drive unit. The cooling unit is formed with a cooling-medium feed port 52 at a loading side connected to the load device in the drive unit, and a cooling medium exhaust port 53 at a non-loading side not connected to the load device. A temperature difference between a cooling medium and the drive unit is set large at the loading side, and the difference therebetween is set small at the non-loading side, thus improving the cooling efficiency of the cooling unit, sufficiently cooling the drive unit, and increasing the thermal rated output of the drive unit by just that much. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
