<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out simple variety discrimination of beans with high accuracy by utilizing a molecular biological technique. <P>SOLUTION: A DNA primer used for the variety discrimination of the beans is provided. The primer can be used for the variety discrimination of the beans, preferably the variety discrimination of white kidney beans and discrimination of the white kidney beans from other beans (e.g. scarlet runners and lima beans). Furthermore, the variety discrimination of the beans, preferably the variety discrimination of adzuki beans can be carried out.
