<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal projector apparatus in which dust-proof countermeasures are taken for the purpose of preventing dust or the like from sticking to polarizing plates and liquid crystal panels, and heat dissipation countermeasures are also taken for the purpose of dissipating heat generated from the polarizing plates. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling layer 16 the surface of which is covered with a transparent vinyl sheet and the inside of which is hermetically sealed and filled with cooling water is disposed between the polarizing plates 11R, 11B, and 11G on the incoming side and liquid crystal panels 12R, 12B and 12G so as to surround the area, except a projecting section 14, in which a cross-dichroic prism 15, the liquid crystal panels 12R, 12B, and 12G and polarizing plates 13R, 13B, and 13G on the outgoing side are arranged. The top and bottom of the area surrounded by the cooling layer 16 are closed with conductive fiber filters, thereby hermetically closing the area in which the cross-dichroic prism 15, the liquid crystal panels 12R, 12B, and 12G and the polarizing plates 13R, 13B, and 13G on the outgoing side are arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
