PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massaging chair capable of massaging various parts of a subject's body without requiring much space to install. SOLUTION: A backrest part 1 having a massaging mechanism 4 built in is provided in such a manner as to be reclinable relatively to a seat part 2. A drive mechanism 3 for raising the backrest part 1 relatively to the seat part 2 during initial action by which the backrest part 1 raised is folded down and for folding the raised backrest part 1 down after the initial action is provided between the seat part 2 and the backrest part 1.
