FIELD: heat treatment of metals. SUBSTANCE: article embracing cylindrical body and heated by energy released in short-circuited turn-secondary winding of transformer is pulled according to proposed process of uninterrupted induction heating of long-length articles through electromagnetic field of transformer. Induction heating of cylindrical body made of current-conducting material which is short-circuited turn of transformer or of article with formation of short-circuited turn by article proper by embracement of additional current-conducting body is conducted. Facility for induction heating of long-length articles has magnetic circuit with winding and cylindrical body. In facility of indirect heating cylindrical body is fabricated from current-conducting material and is placed uniaxially to section of magnetic circuit with winding. Facility for direct heating is equipped with additional current-conducting cylindrical body and its main cylindrical body is positioned uniaxially to section carrying magnetic circuit with winding and is produced from nonconductive material.
