PURPOSE: A method for displaying a screen of a mobile communication terminal is provided to rotate the screen, and to control a displayed screen ratio, then to display a soft directional key showing rotational directions on an empty space, thereby enabling a user to easily know the rotational directions of the screen. CONSTITUTION: When a user inputs a right-direction button(S102), a system rotates a screen to the right at 90 degrees, converts a screen ratio, and flickers a right-handed soft directional indicator(S106). If the user inputs an upward button(S103), the system rotates the screen at 180 degrees, and displays a normal screen without changing the screen ratio(S107). If the user inputs a left-direction button(S104), the system rotates the screen to the left at 90 degrees, converts the screen ratio, and flickers a left-handed soft directional indicator on an empty space(S108). If a lower button is pressed or a specific directional button is not pressed, the system displays the normal screen(S105).
