PURPOSE: An apparatus for inputting the destination of a car navigation device is provided to easily input the destination position by adding only the simple position information data base and the quick information data base to the device without an additional device. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for inputting the destination of a car navigation device includes a current position detector(11), a user controller(14), a geometrical information data base(21), a system controller(13) and a screen display(15). The current position detector(11) outputs the current position information of the car to the system controller(13). The user controller(14) receives the device operation and the quick information from the user. The geometrical information data base(21) is constituted of a geometrical information, a plurality of geometrical position information and the quick information. The system controller(13) obtains the position information of the destination and controls the screen display(15) to display the position of the destination on the screen.
