Assembly procedure for components of plastic-soled mule uses sole with in-turned edge to receive stitched edges of upper and insole assembly

The procedure consists of molding a plastic sole (1), 2 mm thick with an in-turned edge (2) and assembling the upper (8) with the components (4-6) of a padded insole by means of an outer edge seam (7). The edge of the insole assembly is then inserted under the in-turned edge of the main sole, and fixed in place by a second seam (9) passing through the two layers of the main sole edge and the upper/insole assembly.
