PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator that can reduce a perceptible sound by reducing drive noise during initialization even though a damper is used to control supply of cool air. SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises an electrically-operated damper that opens and closes with drive of a stepping motor and controls supply of cool air, the electrically-operated damper having a switching power transformer, a stepping motor drive circuit, and a voltage dropping element that is electrically connected between the switching power transformer and the stepping motor drive circuit.
