PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dip coating method for a polymer roller which eliminates the necessity of equipment such as an air conditioner for coping with a change in environmental conditions and can form a desired coating film on the peripheral surface of the polymer roller. SOLUTION: In the dip coating method for the polymer roller, pulling out the polymer roller dipped in a coating liquid tank from the coating liquid tank is carried out with an increasing pulling-out speed at the start of the pulling out. After reaching a prescribed pulling-out speed, the pulling out is carried out at a constant speed. The pulling-out speed of the roller is decreased near the end of the pulling out. The timing of decreasing the pulling-out speed is gradually delayed according to an environmental temperature elevation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
