<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve peeling of transfer material from an image carrier without using an air blower means and the like. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming device for forming an image by transferring the tone image supported on an image carrier on a transfer material with a transferring means, the transferring means is provided with a transferring member being in pressure-contact with the image carrier and a pressure-contact part for pressing the transferring members in contact with the surface of the image carrier. Then, when a curvature radius in a position confronting to the transferring members of the image carrier is set R and a curvature radius in a position confronting to the image carrier of the transferring member is set (r),a curvature radius ratio satisfies the relation of r/R≤0.30 and the surface of the image carrier has a flexure layer whose elastic deformation is possible and at the same time, 5.0% or more of the curvature radius of the transferring member is made to eat into the surface of the image carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
