<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virus vector capable of infecting with a cell and efficiently retaining and expressing a large amount of genetic materials, not having cytotoxicity for the cell, and useful for somatic cell treatment and gene therapy for a genetic disease such as cancer. <P>SOLUTION: The virus vector is a virus vector for the somatic cell or gene therapy which is induced from a virus having a low replication efficiency in which the descendant produced in the cytoplasm of a target cell does not exceed one per cell, which has at least one insertion site including a foreign nucleic acid segment functionally connecting to a promoter capable of expressing in the target cell, which is a type (non built-in type) in which the foreign nucleic acid segment is not built in the chromosome of the target cell, and which can express the nucleic acid segment in the target cell for one week to two months. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
