PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromotive operation device for a switch capable of easily manually releasing a brake, allowing manual operation to improve workability. SOLUTION: This operation device has: a motor 3 driving the switch; a brake device 4 integrally provided to the motor, braking the motor at prescribed time; a manual release member 5 attached to the brake device, capable of releasing the brake device in manual operation; a cover 1 embracing the periphery of the motor, the brake device and the manual release member, having an opening part 1a in a position corresponding to the manual release member; and an opening/closing door 12 provided such that the opening part of the cover is opened and closed.
