<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure of a vehicle pedal which can reliably protect a driver by preventing a leg of the driber from being hit by the vehicle pedal and an impact load from being placed on the driver by separating the vehicle pedal from the foot of the driver when the vehicle collides. <P>SOLUTION: The support structure of the vehicle pedal supported through a pedal bracket 16 below an instrument panel equipped with a toe board panel 14 partitioning an engine room and a passenger cabin and a steering beam 15 arranged behind the toe board panel in a vehicle body is characterized in that the pedal bracket is formed in two divisions of a front bracket part which is coupled and fixed to the toe board panel and a rear bracket part which is coupled and fixed below the steering beam and fitted with the vehicle pedal and the rear end of the front bracket part is fixed slidably by a coupling means in a state fitted into the front end of the rear bracket part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
