PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polygon scanner motor which can be rotated at an ultra-high speed. SOLUTION: A polygon mirror 8 is disposed in a region held by two segments 9A and 9B which are perpendicular to a revolving shaft and pass the center of two sets of radial bearings 3A and 3B. Namely, the polygon mirror 8 occupying the greater part of the loads that two sets of the radial bearings 3A and 3B receive is disposed within the bearing span of the bearings 3A and 3B. Consequently, the loads are dispersed to the bearings 3A and 3B and the danger speed of a rotor 4 including the polygon mirror 8 can be made satisfactorily higher. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
