PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a foreign substance formed in a heat treatment space from being stuck to a work in a low-cost structure. SOLUTION: The continuous heat treating furnace is provided with a heat treatment space A in its inside and disposed with a metal muffle 2 having a work carrying route carrying the work w through the heat treatment space A. The work carrying route is covered with a protecting plate 5 receiving the foreign substance on the way of falling from the upward accompanied with the heat treatment. The protecting plate 5 is locked and supported to the left/right side walls of the heat treatment space A. The protecting plate 5 may be constituted into a tunnel shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
