PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet section fastening structure and a sheet section fastening method capable of securing a connecting strength between sheet sections while reducing thickness of the sheet sections in a fastened section where the sheet sections are fastened with a machine screw in a sheet component formed of sheets and dispensing with burring process. SOLUTION: This sheet section fastening structure can be applied to a machine screw section between a flange section of a motor storing component 4 of a ventilation fan 1 for a duct, for example, and a part of a component 5 disposed just under it. A folding section 5a is disposed in the component 5, the folding section 5a is stacked on the flange section of the motor storing component 4, and the machine screw 10 is screwed so as to penetrate the flange section and the folding section 5a.
