PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide crimped yarns for a carpet having high bulkiness and durability, and to provide the carpet including the crimped yarns. SOLUTION: The crimped yarns comprises multifilaments containing an intercalation compound having the function of enabling at least part of a polymer to be present intercalarily. The crimped yarns have a crimp elongation percentage of 3-30% after subjected to boiling water treatment. The carpet is composed of front yarns as cut piles or loop piles, a ground fabric tufted with the front yarns and a backing material lined on the ground fabric, wherein the front yarns are comprised of the crimped yarns.
