PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus which grasps a change in a signal value in a real time in MRA using a contrast medium, utilizes the changed result in the determination of image pickup timing and obtains a good blood vessel image. SOLUTION: A function for extracting the signal value from raw data measured in a time series manner and displaying the change thereof along with a time series image as TIC is provided as the function of the signal processing system of the MRI apparatus. As the signal value to be extracted, the signal value of the origin of a k-space or a signal value obtained after the signal value is subjected to Fourier transform in a reading direction is used. In imaging MRA, the imaging condition of the imaging MRA can be altered while a change in signal intensity is monitored in a real time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
