Providing an aqueous hydrogen peroxide composition which is both storage stable and low corrosive, at the same time as other important properties. - Aqueous composition of up to 90 wt.% hydrogen peroxide ha 0.05-20 mmol/kg hydrogen peroxide of amino tri(methylenephosphonic acid) or its salts or degradation products, and a corrosion inhibitor. It is free from or contains less than 0.1 mole/l chlorate ions, has a tin content of 0-100 mg/kg hydrogen peroxide, and a chlorine content of less than 10 mg chlorine ion/kg hydrogen peroxide. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a process for producing chlorine dioxide from hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and metal chlorate or chloric acid, which comprises feeding to a reaction zone metal chlorate or chloric acid and the inventive composition, and reacting metal chlorate or chloric acid with hydrogen peroxide to form chlorine dioxide. |
