Oleanane derivatives represented by general formula (I) or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof; and a medicinal composition containing any of these as the active ingredient, wherein Me represents methyl; X, Y, and Z are any of the combinations (1) to (4): (1) X and Z in combination represent a bond, and Y represents hydrogen, (2) X and Y in combination represent oxo, and Z represents hydrogen, (3) X represents hydroxy, and Y and Z each represents hydrogen, (4) Y represents hydroxy, and X and Z each represents hydrogen; R<1> represents (1) hydroxy, (2) optionally substituted monoalkylamino, (3) optionally substituted cyclic amino, (4) optionally substituted alkoxy, etc.; R<2> represents (1) hydroxy, (2) optionally substituted sulfoxy, (3) optionally substituted phosphoxy, (4) optionally substituted acyloxy, etc.; and R<3> represents (1) hydrogen, (2) hydroxy, (3) optionally substituted sulfoxy, (4) optionally substituted phosphoxy, (5) optionally substituted acyloxy, etc. The compounds are effective in the treatment of nephritis. |
