<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively specify the image formation position for each color, even if a scanning start signal is generated receiving light from a light source having a certain color, in a tandem image forming apparatus capable of switching the print mode. <P>SOLUTION: A scanning start signal generating section 27 receives beam light concerning a K-color to be used in common for a full-color mode and a monochrome K mode, detects the scanning start signal SOSK, and inputs it to a clock counter 252. The clock counter 252 resets a counting action each time the fall of the scanning start signal SOSK is inputted, starting new count of a video clock PCK. Assert points Y-K and negate points Y-K are inputted to comparison circuits 254Y-254K at one counting unit of the video clock PCK on the basis of the fall of the scanning start signal SOSK. Line synchronous signals LSY - LSK for each color are outputted from the comparison circuits 254Y -254K. The respective line synchronous signals LSY-LSK are used to expose a photoreceptor drum 32 to beam light to form an image for each color. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
