<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel driving force distribution control system which improves fuel consumption performance. <P>SOLUTION: With this wheel driving force distribution control system 90, the changeover to two-wheel drive is automatically performed in the case start/stop is repeated due to traffic congestion. Engine load is thereby reduced, and fuel consumption performance is improved. Furthermore, if a slip occurs due to starting with two-wheel drive, the changeover to four-wheel drive is performed, so that congestion on a rough road can be dealt with.
