PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive inner rotor type permanent magnet motor in which torque is enhanced using a thin permanent magnet. SOLUTION: The permanent magnet motor comprises a stator arranged with a core and a winding, and a rotor arranged with permanent magnets constituting a plurality of poles. The pole consists of a main permanent magnet having a radial magnetizing direction, and an auxiliary permanent magnet having a circumferential magnetizing direction. Assuming the angular width of pole pitch is P, the angular width Wmo of the main permanent magnet and the angular width Wso of the auxiliary permanent magnet on the outer circumferential side satisfy a following relation, 0.3×P<Wmo<PWso=P-Wmo. The angular width Wmi of the main permanent magnet and the angular width Wsi of the auxiliary permanent magnet on the inner circumferential side satisfy a following relation Wmi=PWsi=0.
