TRANSFORMER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformer that can reduce its cost by saving the material.

SOLUTION: A plurality of core pieces 11 are formed by dividing thereinto longitudinally a strip-form member 12 having a predetermined width. A core member 14 is formed by laminating the core pieces 11 integrally with each other and by coupling each other in succession the plurality of laminated core pieces 11 via thin portions 13 of bendable coupling portions. The transformer has a core formed annularly by bending the thin portions 13 of the core member 14 and has a secondary winding wound on the core pieces 11. Further, positioning notches 11a are so formed in the symmetric positions of both the latitudinal side-surfaces of each core piece 11 having the secondary winding wound thereon as to regulate the winding position of the secondary winding by the positioning notches 11a.
