<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant restraint apparatus capable of properly restraining an occupant seated on a seat with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: This occupant restraint apparatus comprises a retractor 4 installed on the lateral one side of a seat cushion 2 for the occupant seated on the seat cushion 2 and a shoulder belt 8 having one end wound so as to be extracted and stored in the retractor 4, retraining the chest part of the occupant, and inserted into an insert hole of a tongue 7 detachably fitted to a buckle installed on the lateral other side of the seat cushion 2. Also, the apparatus comprises a first lap belt 10 extending from the tongue 7 insert side terminal part of the shoulder belt 8, retraining the waist part of the occupant, and inserted into the insert hole of a locking part 9 installed on the lateral one side of the seat cushion 2 and a second lap belt 11 extending from the locking part 9 insert side terminal part of the first lap belt 10, restraining the waist part of the occupant, and locked to the tongue 7 detachably fitted to the buckle 6 installed on the lateral other side of the seat cushion 2. The first lap belt 10 and the second lap belt 11 are overlapped with each other so as to be moved relative to each other, and increase a waist part restraining force with a simple structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
