PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water from dropping onto laundry at drying by dehydrating remaining water in the case of supplying water without deteriorating drying performance in a washing and drying machine for supplying water to an inner tub storing laundry through a water supply tube, washing the laundry, supplying hot air by a hot air supply means, and drying the laundry. SOLUTION: The inner tub 4 for storing the laundry is enclosed in an outer tub 3, an outer tub cover 36 is arranged at the side of the open top of the outer tub 3, and the hot air is supplied into the inner tub 4 by the hot air supply means 44. The outer tub cover 36 is arranged with a water supply part 49 which communicates with the water supply tube 48 supplying water to the inner tub 4. The water supply part 49 comprises a remaining water storage part 50 to receive remaining water from the water supply tube 48.
