Arrangement for improving the atmosphere in a tunnel construction, especially an underground station, comprises a liquid-guiding covering (2) made of a material with good thermal conductivity which extends a distance away from the tunnel wall on both sides from a lower region (3) of the tunnel wall (1) up to at least near the apex region (4). The liquid-guiding covering has at least one feed device (6) for a cooling fluid and at least one collecting device (8) for the warmed cooling fluid. Preferred Features: The feed device and the collecting device are connected via a cooling fluid supply having a processing step for the recycled, warmed cooling fluid.
