<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballpoint pen for correcting an error in writing and the like, which dispenses with agitation and eliminates the inconvenience of pressing the side surface of a vessel, by improving a ballpoint pen using ink which easily ceases to flow in initial writing. <P>SOLUTION: In this ballpoint pen, a tip of a barrel is filled with a ballpoint pen tip; an ink storage part in the rear of the barrel is filled with ink and a follower; and a spring pressure is applied to the backside of a tip ball so that the tip ball can be brought into close contact with the inner edge of a ball holding part at a tip end. In a pumping type pressure mechanism part, a knock rod, which is constituted by making a protrusion locked to a slit part which is provided on the side surface of the rear end of the barrel, is constantly urged in the rearward direction of the barrel by a return spring; and a seal ring part, which is provided on the outer periphery of the barrel of the knock rod, is brought into close contact with the inner peripheral part of the rear end hole of the barrel. A valve mechanism is arranged so as to be located at the rear end of the follower ahead of the pressure mechanism part; a space part is made narrower by the advance operation of the knock rod; and the valve is opened by a prescribed pressure so that the rear end of the follower can be pressurized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
