PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute efficient image reading without causing bus reset or damaging other peripheral equipment. SOLUTION: This information processor is provided with a scan unit 501 for reading an image and a communication part 506 for transmitting image data read by the scan unit 501 through a data bus to a host computer. Whether or not the data bus can be opened is detected, and when it is detected that the data bus can not be opened, the processor controls to prevent the damage due to the fact that the data bus can not be opened.
